About Me

  • Human. Dad. Speaker. Doctor.

    I’m Hussain.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to self-development. I thought being the best version of myself meant being perfect. I used to chase perfection, until I learned perfection is a dead end. Growth isn’t about reaching some final form. It’s about the journey, the struggle, and who we become along the way. That’s where the magic lives. That’s real life. That’s living life.

Fortunately, this is precisely where my personal passion meets my professional mission: to empower people to take control of their health, reconnect with what truly matters, and flourish physically, mentally, and emotionally. Health is about more than lab tests and diagnoses. It’s about mindset, habits, self-belief, and the stories we tell ourselves. When we embrace self-reflection and open ourselves towards healing, we can unlock our fullest potential. When we practice self-compassion and give ourselves space to be, we discover the profound, beautiful experience of life.

  • I believe every human being deserves a life of meaningful wellbeing. Not to survive or even thrive, but to truly flourish. That begins with knowing yourself, recognizing your worth, and living in alignment with your values. I envision communities where wellbeing is collective, not individual. Because without community wellbeing, individual wellbeing only takes us so far.

My work is rooted in a simple belief: progress over perfection. Small, consistent steps, guided by science and empathy, create powerful, lasting change. Wellness isn’t just physical. It includes our environment, our thoughts, our relationships, our routines, our openness to other perspectives, and our willingness to grow. And while I bring specialized knowledge and thoroughly researched care to my clients and patients, it is active listening and empathetically being with people, that allow healing to begin. After all, we are human beings, not human doings.

  • As a physician, I’ve practiced across a full spectrum of care, from inpatient hospital medicine to home-based palliative care, from rural emergency rooms to urban primary care clinics. During residency, I took extra training in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Coronary Care Unit (CCU), and both adult and pediatric Emergency Medicine, where I saw humans and families at their most vulnerable. These experiences taught me how to navigate life and death and how to facilitate challenging, complex conversations. My recent work in Urgent Care reminds me that prevention is not only ideal, but essential. Reversing chronic disease and optimizing mental health aren’t lofty goals. They are foundational to the future of medicine and high quality care.

Whether speaking on stage, consulting in clinic, or sharing insights online, my goal is the same: to help people believe in themselves, recognize their self-worth, and feel seen and supported in their pursuit of better health. If we want to transform health on an individual or societal level, we have to look beyond prescriptions… toward purpose, behaviour, and the deep human desire to feel better and live well.

  • Outside of medicine, I am a curious human being. I love learning new languages, singing songs and listening to music, getting lost in books, and exploring the world through travel. I stay physically active through walking, running, soccer, volleyball, strength training, and cycling. For mental fitness, I practice meditation, affirmations, and visualizations… and mindfulness and gratitude in the shorter, fleeting moments. All of this is how I recharge and look after myself. But it’s also how I live in alignment with my values, the very values I hope to teach and instill in you and others.

If you read this far, thank you for listening.

I am privileged to do this work. I’m here to help.
